Childhood
As a teenager, Chuck picked up many of the business principles and work ethic that would carry him into a future of high achievement. His family purchased a campground when he was just twelve years old, and Chuck became their hardest working employee as he handled reservations, store management, grounds and maintenance, and everything else that came with running a business of this size.
Marriage
Chuck was married to his childhood sweetheart, Emily, on August 11, 1990. At rock bottom from addictions, godlessness, and a teen pregnancy out of wedlock, the two gave their lives to Christ together on a Sunday night, Feb 17th, 1991, at 10:15 pm while having a conversation over the phone with an old high school friend.
Faith
This newfound faith gave Chuck and Emily a strong desire to make a large and lasting difference with their lives!
Business
At the age of 23, Chuck went into business as a real estate agent in Staunton, VA. By the end of their second, full year in real estate, Chuck and Emily had already achieved a six digit income, and it didn’t stop there.
Through one-on-one coaching with the number-one real estate coach in the nation, they developed one of the most powerful and profitable residential real estate offices in America! By year four, the Balsamo’s were reaching the $250K mark. In year five, at the height of their success—when the business was on track to close 160 sales and earn more than $400K—Chuck and Emily took a giant leap of faith out of business into full-time ministry!
Ministry
The decision proved to be a good one. In (1999) Murfreesboro North Carolina, Chuck’s first two-day “revival meeting” extended for 97 days! In a church of 50 people, 171 guests came to Christ and hundreds more were healed of everything imaginable. From this, doors for ministry opened, filling the calendar with 300 meetings per year—for the next three years!
What began in that first revival has never stopped. Chuck and Emily have been to India, Uganda, Ukraine, Dominica, Albania, Mexico, and many other parts of the world, where ten thousand people have come to know Christ and thousands more have been changed forever at their meetings and festivals! Chuck is proudly affiliated with the Assemblies of God.
Family
They have a son, Coree, and a daughter, Heaven, who both love Jesus more than anything and both have promising futures. Coree and Heaven are loads of fun, wild pranksters, and dreamers. They love to laugh and make others laugh with them!
The Balsamos never claim perfection. They still have their challenges, setbacks, and failures. They strive to be more like Christ in every way, always giving the credit to God for anything good in them.
The Balsamos have three dogs, a Chihuahua named Chica, Pug named Ming Mi, and a Chug named Lucy. They also have four water gardens and 50 koi fish. They love to hike, run, surf, and travel. They love meeting and getting to know new people. They love their hometown!
Lead Pastor
Today, Chuck and Emily the Pastors of Destiny Family Center, a vibrant, victorious church in Stuarts Draft, VA. In just a short time, Destiny has become a solid force of local and regional influence, impacting hundreds weekly.
Bible College Instructor
Chuck leads and instructs the Destiny Campus of Life Christian University offering accreditation through the Doctorate level, and advanced ministerial impartation! Chuck currently holds his Master’s Degree with LCU and graduates for his Doctorate in June of 2012.
Author
He has published his first book of many to come, Make Me a Legend, nationally released November 15, 2011.

Hello Layla, that’s a great question! Even though I don’t personally believe the world is going to end on December 21st… I always encourage people to live a life that is fully prepared for eternity. Live everyday in full close relationship with God, and pursue His destiny for your life. Be happy and thankful for the days and years you have… live bold, dream big, and make a difference with everyone, everywhere, everyday! Make memories as you live in the NOW. Live in a constant awareness of the awesome reality… that this life is short even when a person lives for 90 or 100 years. We have one tiny chance to create a better tomorrow for those who will remain… let’s do that, together, one day at a time. I’m praying for you this morning!!
